Special emphasis is placed on serving those most isolated, removing artificial barriers from those most in need receiving much needed help, and targeting elderly, disabled, especially struggling Veterans and families with young children. The organization is recognized both nationally and statewide for low administrative costs and its proven success of seamless prevention case management and fundraising initiatives. Most importantly, through its organizational model, ESI also avoids costly duplication of efforts and dangerous gaps in emergency energy related services.
